Certified productive chain: all raw materials are certified. The timber comes from PEFC-cultivated forests; adhesives are formaldehyde-free; the paint is produced from a-toxic vegetal and mineral raw materials; and fabrics are 100% bio fair-trade cotton, spun and dyed in Italy by small local textile companies
Sustainable life cycle: Girandolo is not a throwaway commodity. It has a marked propensity to become “other”, to be of use for as long as possible. If a part of it breaks, it is possible to purchase a spare component. The adopted technologies allow a limited-series production of Girandolo: it is therefore avoidable to put on the market higher quantities of the product than the people really need.
Girandolo can be re-used, partially or in its totality, recycled and disposed of (if burnt it does not release toxic fumes) so not to produce any waste
Low environmental impact: the industrial manufacturing takes place in the sawmill, from the arrival of the timber to the numerically-controlled cutting of Girandolo. From the sawmill it goes on to handmade self-production without further materials handling. The timber displacements, from the arrival of the trunk in the sawmill to the confection of Girandolo, never exceed a distance of 200km. The flat packaging, besides, reduces the volume of the object by 80%, thus limiting considerably the transportation and storage costs.  
Responsible purchase: the consumer is in charge of the assembly of Girandolo. The participation in the building process helps the parents to familiarize with an object that has been especially designed for children, but is always to use under the control of an adult

Materials
Girandolo is made of panels of poplar solid wood from formaldehyde-free PEFC-certified forests. The fabrics of the Safe Cushion are 100% bio fair-trade cotton, spun and dyed in Italy by small local textile companies

Wir bauen Girandolo aus zertifizierten Rohstoffen
Das Pappelmassivholz ist FSC-zertifiziert und wird mit schadstofffreien wasserlöslichen Lacken mit natürlichen Pigmenten behandelt; der Polsterstoff besteht aus Bio-Baumwolle aus dem Fairen Handel, die in kleinen italienischen Textilbetrieben gesponnen und gefärbt wird.
Girandolo ist kein Wegwerf-Konsumgut: im Gegenteil, es ist wie geschaffen, immer wieder zu etwas”Anderem” umfunktioniert zu werden und auf Langlebigkeit ausgelegt.
Für kaputtgegangene Teile können Ersatzteile nachgekauft werden.
Die flache Verpackung reduziert das Volumen um 80%, und spart somit Versand- und Lagerkosten.
Girandolo erzeugt keinen Abfall, es kann wieder- und neuverwendet, recycelt und umweltfreundlich entsorgt werden.
Die Preiskalkulation erfolgt auf der Grundlage der effektiven Produktionskosten unabhängig von den Marktregeln der Massendistribution.
